Is Tokeet down, or did your calendar sync quietly break?
Listing Uptime · Updated July 22, 2026
Two very different things can throw your calendar off, and they have opposite fixes. One is a real Tokeet outage: the platform is down for everyone, it is rare, and it shows up on a status page. The other is your own sync silently breaking: one link goes stale, one channel disconnects, only your listings are affected, and nothing warns you. Telling them apart is the whole game, because you cannot fix a broken sync by waiting for an outage to pass.
Is Tokeet down right now?
Tokeet does run a public status page, but it only tells you whether the platform is up, never whether your own calendar sync quietly broke.
Tokeet publishes a real status page at status.tokeet.com, and it breaks the platform into components like the Channel Manager, iCal Synchronization, Client API, and Data Feeds. Most of the time those read green, because a platform-wide Tokeet outage is rare. What that page can never show is the far more common problem: one of your own iCal links went stale, or a single channel connection dropped, so your calendar stopped updating while everything on Tokeet's side looks healthy. Green on the status page and a broken sync on your own listing can be true at the same moment.

The break a status page can’t show you
Tokeet is a hybrid channel manager, with both direct API and iCal connections. The major OTAs connect by API, where Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, and Agoda sync availability, rates, and bookings almost instantly. Everything else connects by iCal, which Tokeet polls on a schedule it does not publish. Tokeet's own guidance is that iCal is not real time, a change can take twenty minutes to several hours, and channels re-check every thirty minutes to two hours. Two-way iCal also only works if you set up both directions, importing the channel's calendar into Tokeet and exporting Tokeet's calendar back into the channel.
When one of those connections fails, Tokeet keeps showing the last data it pulled. There is no red banner, because from the platform’s side nothing is down. The symptoms hosts actually report look like this:
- ·The normal iCal delay window, where by Tokeet's own figures a booking can stay invisible to another channel for thirty minutes to two hours
- ·A one-way connection, where only the import or only the export was set up, so availability flows in a single direction and the other side stays open
- ·A stale iCal URL that Tokeet keeps polling after the channel changed it, so new blocks quietly stop arriving with no error shown
- ·A dropped API connection that lost its authentication, so pushes and imports stop until you reconnect the channel

Is it Tokeet, or is it your sync? Find out in 30 seconds
A status page can’t see your account, but your calendars can be compared directly. Paste the export URL from each channel for one property. This lines them up and flags every night booked on one but still open on another, the gap that becomes a double booking. No signup, and it never touches guest details.
What to do if your sync broke
For an API channel, click Channels at the top of any screen, then Add Channel, pick the channel such as Airbnb API, and complete the authorization; then use the channel's edit menu to Import Bookings, Push Availability, and Push Rates to force a resync. For an iCal channel, open Calendars to copy your Tokeet export URL into the channel, and open Imported Calendars, click Add, and paste the channel's iCal URL to import it into the right rental. Confirm both directions exist, since a one-way link is the most common silent break.
Then confirm the calendars actually match rather than trusting that the reconnect worked, and plan for the next break. Re-linking fixes today; it does nothing about the next silent failure. Continuous monitoring re-checks every channel around the clock and messages you the minute a gap opens or a feed goes dark, in the window Tokeet still shows green.
Questions hosts ask
Is Tokeet down right now?
Tokeet publishes a live status page at status.tokeet.com that breaks the platform into components like the Channel Manager, iCal Synchronization, and Client API. Check it first. If those read green, Tokeet itself is up, and your problem is almost certainly on your own listing, like a stale iCal link or a dropped channel connection.
Why is my Tokeet calendar not updating?
Usually it is not an outage. The common causes are the normal iCal delay, which Tokeet says can run twenty minutes to several hours, a one-way sync where only the import or export was set up, a stale iCal URL Tokeet is still polling, or an API connection that lost its authentication. All four look the same from outside: your calendar just quietly stops matching reality.
Can Tokeet double-book me?
Tokeet is built to prevent it by blocking availability across your connected channels, and API channels update in seconds. But iCal channels poll on a delay, and by Tokeet's own figures a booking can stay invisible to another channel for thirty minutes to two hours. During that window, or any time a link is broken or one-way, a second guest can book the same dates.
