Status check

Is iGMS down, or did your calendar sync quietly break?

Listing Uptime · Updated July 22, 2026

Two very different things can throw your calendar off, and they have opposite fixes. One is a real iGMS outage: the platform is down for everyone, it is rare, and it shows up on a status page. The other is your own sync silently breaking: one link goes stale, one channel disconnects, only your listings are affected, and nothing warns you. Telling them apart is the whole game, because you cannot fix a broken sync by waiting for an outage to pass.

Is iGMS down right now?

iGMS, the short-term rental software, does not publish a status page, and most of the time the platform is fine while your own calendar sync is the thing that quietly broke.

iGMS, the vacation-rental management software for Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com hosts, has no status.igms.com and no Downdetector page, so there is no dashboard that turns red when something is wrong. A true iGMS-wide outage, where the app is down for everyone, is rare and usually clears on its own within minutes. Far more common, and invisible from any status page, is a break in your own account: one channel connection dropped, a Vrbo account that needs re-verification, or an external iCal link that quietly stopped updating. That kind of failure only touches your listings, so no platform status would ever show it.

The break a status page can’t show you

iGMS connects to Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com through direct, two-way API integrations, which is why it markets deep native Airbnb management. Any other platform, such as Tripadvisor, can only be added through an imported iCal link, not the API. iGMS says its internal blocking works faster than iCal, but it does not publish an exact API interval or an exact refresh frequency for the iCal links you import into it. In practice your API channels update quickly, while an imported iCal calendar refreshes on a delay iGMS does not disclose, so a stale or broken iCal link can leave dates open long enough to double-book.

When one of those connections fails, iGMS keeps showing the last data it pulled. There is no red banner, because from the platform’s side nothing is down. The symptoms hosts actually report look like this:

Is it iGMS, or is it your sync? Find out in 30 seconds

A status page can’t see your account, but your calendars can be compared directly. Paste the export URL from each channel for one property. This lines them up and flags every night booked on one but still open on another, the gap that becomes a double booking. No signup, and it never touches guest details.

Paste the calendar export (.ics) URL from each channel for one property. We read only public booked/blocked dates, never guest details, and store nothing. Can’t find yours? Step-by-step for Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com.

What to do if your sync broke

For an Airbnb sync hiccup or red triangles, first click the sync icon next to the listing name to force a re-pull; if it is a minimum-stay conflict, open the Airbnb Listing Editor under Channels, adjust the value, and update. For a Vrbo verification block, use Unlock Account, choose your phone number, enter the code, and wait about ten to fifteen minutes for the auto-sync. For a Booking.com listing that went empty, re-set prices and availability from the calendar and check whether it was closed on Booking.com's side. If reconnecting does not restore the feed, iGMS support is on live chat and at support@igms.com.

Then confirm the calendars actually match rather than trusting that the reconnect worked, and plan for the next break. Re-linking fixes today; it does nothing about the next silent failure. Continuous monitoring re-checks every channel around the clock and messages you the minute a gap opens or a feed goes dark, in the window iGMS still shows green.

Questions hosts ask

Is iGMS down right now?

Probably not for everyone. iGMS does not publish a status page and is not on Downdetector, so there is no official light, but a true platform-wide outage is rare and usually clears within minutes. If only your listings are misbehaving, it is almost certainly your own account or a single channel connection, not iGMS itself.

Why is my iGMS calendar not updating?

Most often one connection broke while everything else kept working. Common causes are a Vrbo account that needs re-verification, Airbnb red-triangle warnings or a minimum-stay conflict, a Booking.com listing that went empty or closed, or an imported iCal link that quietly stopped refreshing. None of these show up as an outage, which is why they go unnoticed until a date is double-booked.

Can iGMS double-book me?

Not on purpose, but a broken sync can. iGMS pushes availability across Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com through direct APIs, so those normally stay aligned. The risk is a channel that silently disconnects or an imported iCal link that stops updating, leaving a date open on one platform after it was booked on another. An independent calendar check catches that gap.
