Guide
How to find your Vrbo iCal link
Listing Watchdog · Updated July 18, 2026
Fair warning: most guides that rank for this show the old, retired dashboard. On today’s Vrbo the export link lives under Calendar → Settings → Availability → Connect calendars. Here is the current path on web and in the app, and the one export option that actually matters.
The exact clicks
- 1Log in to your Vrbo owner dashboard and select the property.
- 2Open Calendar, then click Settings.
- 3Choose the Availability tab and click Connect calendars.
- 4Click Export calendar. Decide whether to tick Include tentative bookings (see below), then click Copy URL.
In the mobile app: Calendar, then the settings (gear) icon, then Availability, then Calendar sync, then Connect calendars, then Copy link. Steps per Vrbo’s help center (“Export your reservation calendar”), checked July 2026.
The tentative-bookings checkbox
The export dialog offers to include tentative bookings. Vrbo’s own advice: tick it only when the feed goes to a private calendar you read yourself. When the feed goes to another booking site, leave it off, or unconfirmed requests will block sellable nights on the other channel.
What the link looks like
A real Vrbo export link contains icalendar in the address and ends in .ics, shaped like https://www.vrbo.com/icalendar/a1b2c3….ics (with ?nonTentative on reserved-only feeds). Two rules from Vrbo worth knowing: never import your own export back into the same Vrbo calendar (Vrbo warns it can cause payment issues for those dates), and Vrbo itself only accepts import URLs that start with https://, not webcal://, five per property at most.
Prove it works
Copied it? Test it right now
Paste the link you just copied. You will see whether it is alive, how many reservations it carries, and the date range it covers, before any other platform depends on it.
What to do with the link
Import it on the other side: Airbnb or Booking.com each have their own import spot and their own export link you need to bring back into Vrbo. One link syncs one way; two links sync both ways, and Vrbo pulling every 30 minutes still leaves a window where channels disagree. Compare them free to see whether they match right now.
Questions hosts ask
Where is the iCal link in the Vrbo app?
Open Calendar, tap the settings (gear) icon, choose the Availability tab, then Calendar sync, then Connect calendars, and copy the link. The web path is Calendar, Settings, Availability, Connect calendars, Export calendar.
Should I include tentative bookings in the export?
Vrbo's own guidance: only when exporting to a private calendar, like your personal Google or Apple calendar. When exporting to another booking site, leave tentative bookings out, otherwise unconfirmed requests can block real availability on the other channel.
What does a Vrbo iCal link look like?
It lives on vrbo.com and contains 'icalendar' in the address, ending in .ics, with a long random identifier in the middle. If your link has no 'icalendar' in it, you copied something else.
How often does Vrbo sync iCal calendars?
Vrbo documents a 30-minute cycle, the fastest of the big channels, with imported events taking up to 20 minutes to appear. Older guides still say 60 minutes; that figure is out of date.
Why do other guides show a Reservations tab I don't have?
They are describing the retired HomeAway-era dashboard, with its Import/Export arrows icon. That interface is gone. The current path goes through the calendar's Settings and its Availability tab.
Calendars connected but drifting anyway? Airbnb not syncing with Vrbo walks through the fix.
