Is Hostfully down, or did your calendar sync quietly break?
Listing Uptime · Updated July 22, 2026
Two very different things can throw your calendar off, and they have opposite fixes. One is a real Hostfully outage: the platform is down for everyone, it is rare, and it shows up on a status page. The other is your own sync silently breaking: one link goes stale, one channel disconnects, only your listings are affected, and nothing warns you. Telling them apart is the whole game, because you cannot fix a broken sync by waiting for an outage to pass.
Is Hostfully down right now?
Hostfully does not publish a public status page, so there is no official light telling you whether the platform is down right now.
Hostfully has no status.hostfully.com and no hosted status page. Its updates.hostfully.com feed is a product changelog for new features, not an incident log, and the only status-style result in search is an unofficial third-party page that has not run a check in years. In practice a genuine platform-wide Hostfully outage is rare, and when it happens it hits every host at once, not just your listings. The failure you are far more likely to be hitting is a single connection on your own account that quietly stopped syncing.
The break a status page can’t show you
Hostfully connects to the major channels through direct, two-way APIs, including Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com, alongside dozens of other platforms, and says a booking or price change on one updates the others within seconds. Smaller or regional channels, and any calendar you link yourself, run on iCal instead, which Hostfully documents as refreshing once every twenty to thirty minutes, not in real time. iCal also carries availability only, not pricing or rules, so a placeholder with no price on an imported reservation is normal. You can force an update under Calendar Tools by selecting the property and platform and pressing Sync.
When one of those connections fails, Hostfully keeps showing the last data it pulled. There is no red banner, because from the platform’s side nothing is down. The symptoms hosts actually report look like this:
- ·A booking on one channel that has not blocked another yet, which on iCal-linked calendars is expected inside the twenty-to-thirty-minute refresh window, long enough for a second guest to book
- ·An iCal link that changed or expired on the other platform, so Hostfully quietly stopped pulling that calendar and it just goes stale
- ·An API channel that disconnected, or a listing the OTA paused or suspended, so it stops receiving updates while Hostfully itself is up
- ·A rate or minimum-stay change that never reaches an iCal-linked channel, because iCal syncs availability only

Is it Hostfully, or is it your sync? Find out in 30 seconds
A status page can’t see your account, but your calendars can be compared directly. Paste the export URL from each channel for one property. This lines them up and flags every night booked on one but still open on another, the gap that becomes a double booking. No signup, and it never touches guest details.
What to do if your sync broke
To reconnect an API channel, open the agency profile dropdown, go to Channels, click the channel such as Airbnb, and use Connect with Airbnb to re-authenticate and re-grant permissions if the connection dropped. Confirm the property toggles are on, then press the circular-arrow sync button and wait for a success status. For a calendar you linked yourself over iCal, go to Calendar Tools, open the Calendar Import and Synchronization tab, choose the property and provider, paste the fresh iCal link, and make sure Keep calendar automatically synchronized is checked.
Then confirm the calendars actually match rather than trusting that the reconnect worked, and plan for the next break. Re-linking fixes today; it does nothing about the next silent failure. Continuous monitoring re-checks every channel around the clock and messages you the minute a gap opens or a feed goes dark, in the window Hostfully still shows green.
Questions hosts ask
Is Hostfully down right now?
Probably not for everyone. Hostfully does not run a public status page, so there is no official light, but genuine platform-wide outages are rare and hit all hosts at once. If only your own listings look wrong, it is far more likely that one connection quietly broke than that the whole platform is down.
Why is my Hostfully calendar not updating?
The usual cause is a single broken or slow connection, not an outage. iCal-linked calendars only refresh every twenty to thirty minutes, and a link that changed or expired on the other platform stops syncing silently. An API channel can also disconnect or be paused by the OTA. Try a manual Sync under Calendar Tools, then re-check the link or reconnect the channel.
Can Hostfully double-book me?
Yes, but through the gap, not usually through the platform being down. Direct API channels update within seconds, while any iCal-linked calendar refreshes only every twenty to thirty minutes, and a stale or expired iCal link can leave dates open on one channel after they are booked on another. That window, not a Hostfully outage, is what causes most double bookings.
